Greetings. I came from New Hampshire to join the Career Center at UNCA in January 2014. For 12 years I managed small businesses in the hospitality industry, where I first found my passion for young professionals as they pursue meaningful lifestyles and careers. I hold a Master’s Degree in College Student Development from Appalachian State University and studied Business Administration at The University of New Hampshire. When I’m not talking to students about their dream jobs, you can likely find me out playing in the mountains – hiking, backpacking, climbing, biking or skiing.
Considering a career change? Thinking about changing your major? Nervous about life after college? I’m always open to talk about life, careers, grad school, internships, or the classic soft rock hits of the 70’s and 80’s. Please reach out to me via email or phone, or stop by my office at 257 Highsmith Union.
For now, I’ll leave you with some words of wisdom from Winston Churchill: “To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”
