After almost a decade of working with students, employers, and faculty on career education at five different colleges, I am excited to begin my work collaborating and supporting the UNC Asheville community. Originally born in Asheville, my career has taken me from Iredell county, to New York City, to Williamsburg, Virginia, to Winston Salem, back to the state of New York, and finally, back to Asheville, in that order. It's been an amazing journey and one that I am excited to share with UNC Asheville students.
A strong supporter of the liberal arts, my Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University is in Sociology, with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. I have a Master of Education in Community Counseling from The College of William & Mary, am a National Board Certified Counselor, and have earned certifications in MBTI and have training in StrengthsFinder.
My drive is to connect students with opportunity, because the best way to learn about yourself and who you want to be is to gain experience. As the director of the career center, I am dedicated to ensuring the career center is not only a resource for individual students and alumni, but also serves as a place to build connections.
