What is a Job Fair?

A Job Fair is an opportunity for students and alumni to speak with representatives from over 80 companies and organizations recruiting full time, part time and internship opportunities. In the fall, graduate school recruiters will also attend.

"My experience at the fair was extremely positive. I'd been nervous about graduating and finding a job, but the [job] fair made the whole prospect much less intimidating because it was a chance to actually meet people, shake hands, exchange words, and share stories. There were a variety of different positions from different companies represented. I was recruited for a job I hadn't even considered before, but I'm glad I did! Even more important than the jobs are the connections made and the practice of networking that's helpful at such events. It also gave me some incentive to work on my resume, with the helpful assistance of the Career Center."~ Linda K.
